Dear Reader:
This week at Russell & District Regional Library has been what one might call a slow news week. This is not to say that it was a slow week at either the Russell Library or the Binscarth Library, to the contrary! The Library Ladies have been working hard to serve all who enter our doors as well as launching the Thursday hot dog sale in Binscarth and the Friday Hot Dog Sale and Farmers Market each week, in Russell. For this reason, our article this week consists of a poem titled Signs of Love. After all, the love we demonstrate to one another, whether we be family, friend, or stranger is what life is made up of. Love is the thing, you know.
An excerpt from the book “Beauty In The Stillness” by Karin Hadadan
SIGNS OF LOVE
This reminded me of you
I’m going to the grocery store, need anything?
Open your door, I sent you a little gift
Did you get home safe?
I am so proud of you
Let’s go somewhere together
I’ll be here for you
I’ll cook this time
How are you, really?
I think you’ll like this song
I have an extra ticket
Good luck today
How can I help?
Wanna watch it together?
I can pick you up
Tell me about your day
Remember when we…
Be ready at eight, I have a surprise
Let’s work through this together
I can’t imagine life without you
