Dear Reader:
Happy Friday! The big news at Russell & District Regional Library this week is our exciting addition to Team Library: Miss Brooklynn McGregor. The Library Ladies welcome fresh ideas and Brooklyn’s eager desire to work as a Summer Student with us has been demonstrated through the tenacity and stick-to-it-iveness required to come out in the lead in this year’s applicant pool.
Binscarth branch of Russell and District Regional Library is a real hot spot this summer, what with the events going on there every Tuesday and Thursday, all summer long. Every Tuesday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM there will be Story Time and Crafts lead by Librarian, Rayla Buss. Everyone is welcome. There is no age restriction to stories and crafts. Also, Binscarth Library Facebook Page is flaunting a weekly children’s story read aloud by Rayla: audio book with a twist, one might say. Every Thursday, Binscarth Library hosts a weekly fundraiser in the form of a Hot Dog Sale. If you have not been to Binscarth Library lately, or maybe ever, this summer is a great time to visit. Binscarth is a beautiful town with a Library, a Museum, a Golf course … and a giant slide. Thank you to everyone that supports the Russell & District Regional Library. We love serving you.
Jessica’s Picks for this week are all on her Summer TBR (To Be Read) List. Perhaps you would like to add them to your summer reading list as well. Enjoy.
- The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath
- Bonjour Tristesse by Francoise Sagan
- The Fury by Alex Michaelides
- Until August by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
- Transit by Rachel Cusk
