Library News: January 19, 2024

Dear Reader:

It’s winter in Canada
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At thirty-five below.
Oh, how I love Canada
When the snow’s up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I’ll hang around
I could never leave Canada
I’m frozen to the friggin’ ground!

It’s winter at the Russell Library and, true to form, Kelly Kalyniak, our faithful shoveler has come to keep our entrances and walk-ways clear.  Several times a day if need be!  Kelly is interminably cheerful and delights in his work.  With Kalyniak on our team, we know that we will always have clear sailing and be met with a bright and shining smile.  Thank you, Kelly!

Often, in our articles, we share the good news of new book order arrivals.  This week, we have new book arrivals, at both Binscarth and Russell, from our Public Library Services Rotation: LARGE PRINT.  The PLS rotation will be here from now until May.  The PLS rotation is a quarterly service and includes non-fiction, inspirational, romance, adventure, crime/thriller.  Come on in and check out your choice of large print book today.

This Saturday, we are showing another film in the Lord of The Rings trilogy in the Russell Library Gallery.  See our website/facebook/instagram for details.
