Dear Reader:
“What home means to me.” New in the Russell & District Regional Library Gallery this week is an exhibit by a group of Langenburg, Saskatchewan students: age 3-11. Teacher, Bethany, has also set up a small canvas house, approximately 5’ x 5’ where the public can hang their own paintings or objects based on “What home means to me.”
“Our homes are more than an assemblage of bricks and glass, wood and nails. They are the keepers of our childhood memories, our milestones, and heartaches. They evolve as we do. As a family grows and eventually retracts, a home can change hands and begin again. We are the chapters in the book of a house. They carry on after we are gone, setting the stage for another story, a new life, new memories.” Erin Napier
We look forward to welcoming you and your children to experience and contribute to the Avant Garde exhibit on display in the Library Gallery from October 1 to November 11.
