Dear Reader:
You may already know this, but just in case you are unaware, or need to be reminded, Manitoba is renowned for its musical and artistic talent. In last week’s article, you will have read about Lorne Pettitt’s musical performance at The Russell Library’s Friday Hot Dog Sale and Farmer’s Market. In this week’s article, you will read about Elijah’s maiden voyage into the world of publicly playing electric guitar as a busker at Russell Library’s weekly Wednesday night Hot Dog Sale. Elijah is a young man with an old soul, a wary gaze, and zest for life. Self-taught with YouTube as his guide, Elijah honoured his audience with a beautifully played song list ranging from Black Sabbath to Elijah’s own original compositions. We look forward to welcoming Elijah and his guitar to play at the library again soon. Rumour has it, next time, Elijah will be joined by an accompanying musician. Stay tuned, (pun intended)!
September is just less than three weeks away and we would like to remind you that with September comes new/renewed hours: Wednesday and Thursday, the Russell Library will be open from 1:00 pm to 8 pm.
