This week at The Russell & District Regional Library, Russell branch, we are pleased to be welcoming 12 year old Ukrainian guest speaker Artem Zinchuk to our Wednesday evening speaker series. Mr. Zinchuk’s presentation is much anticipated. Next week we will enjoy a kind of Season Finale for Library Gallery evening events with a special performance by Amy and Ed. New at the Library is an excellent series by author Jean Grainger. “The Tour Series” is a series of 6 books which follow the exploits of the handsome Conor O’Shea. Set in Ireland. Follow Conor from his beginnings as an Irish tour guide to the renovation and management of Castle Dysert, to hosting a reality TV show called “Grandma says we’re Irish.” You must read them to appreciate them! We are hosting an Annual General Meeting in the Russell Library Gallery on the evening of June 6th at 7pm. Looking for Board Members. If you are interested, please attend. Everyone welcome.
Beginning in June, Russell Library’s Wednesday evening events in the Library Gallery will be moving outside to the Green Space, (weather permitting). Plan to come any Wednesday evening to the Russell Library Green Space. Enjoy a picnic, Storytime with Bookworm Bert, games, Buskers, scavenger hunt…. All of the above. Please follow us in the Newspaper, on our Website and on Social Media for updates. Our intention is to keep Wednesday Night at The Library thriving throughout the summer months and begin in the Library Gallery again in September/October. Also, stay tuned to find out more about our very first Library Bingo, beginning in June and ending in September. There will be a prize for the winner(s)
