With much joy, Russell & District Regional Library is pleased to let you know that our Saturday Story Time at The Library has really caught on.  This past Saturday, April 22, was Earth Day and, to put the cherry on the strudel, The Russell Banner’s Editor, Terrie Welwood volunteered to read stories to those listeners that joined us.  The reviews are in:  everyone had a “really good time!”  Saturday Story Time at The Library will continue every Saturday beginning at 11:30 am until June 30th.  All parents and children welcome.

Binscarth Library continues to host Coffee, Cookies and Cards on the Third Thursday of every month. The next Coffee, Cookies and Cards event at Binscarth Library is on May 18th.  Everyone welcome.  For details, please see our website russell.mb.libraries.coop, posters around town, Facebook(s) and Instagram.  Binscarth Library branch has a Summer Hotdog Sale plan in the wings.  Summer is in the wings too!  Last, but, not least, the Russell & District Regional Library is looking forward to being in the Binscarth Canada Day Parade.  See y’all there.

Every Wednesday evening from now until July 1st, the Russell & District Regional Library, Russell Branch, is hosting an event: Speakers, Games, Music.  Details on our website and social media sites.  Links shared at end of this article.

Our illustrious Mayor of Russell/Binscarth Municipality, Judy Snitynsky, will be our Guest Speaker in The Library Gallery on May 3rd.   By the time you read this, dear Reader, the Russell Library will have had its last Open Mic Night until Open Mic Nights begin again in the Fall.  Please sharpen your pencils and let your creative juices flow in preparation for Open Mic Night in the Fall.  We are already looking forward to welcoming participants and spectators alike.
