Is the spring coming? “he said.  “What is it like?” […]  “It’s the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine, and things pushing up and working under the earth,” said Mary.

RAVEN book club continues to draw reading women from the community.  Sylvia Plath’s book, The Bell Jar, is up for discussion at May’s meeting of the minds.

There is a real need for a Men’s book club, as well as a Young Adult book club.  If you would be interested to join RAVEN, or a future Book Club, please come in to the Library and let us know so we can come together and meet the need for more people getting together over more books.  Perhaps you have another idea for a kind of Book Club?  Please let us know about that too.

As our Wednesday Evening Events Nights continue, and our guests and activities vary, (look for posters around town, on our website and social media), one constant remains: you are always welcome.

Beginning on Saturday, April 15th there will be story time at the Library with periodic special guest readers.  All ages welcome.  Bound to be a rollicking good time!  For more details please see our website and posters around town.

Before you know it, The Russell Library’s Farmer’s Market will be starting up along with our Delicious Harvest Hotdogs Hotdog Sale.

We will be having a Mother’s Day Raffle (books are the prize).  Please come on in and purchase some tickets for your Mom, Grandma, Sister, Auntie…whomever you call Mom/the Moms in your life.

With so much to look forward to, one must remember to breathe, enjoy each day, choose happiness.  Get some sunshine on your face.  Have you ever read “Happiness is a Serious Problem: A Human Nature Repair Manual” by Dennis Prager?  It’s a worthwhile read.

Are you looking for a specific book?  Our Librarian’s can help you find what you are looking for.  If there is a book that we do not have on our shelves, we will look into bringing it in from another Library, or, put in a request to purchase the book.
