Library news for the week of October 10th, 2022

We hope you had a spectacular Beef & Barley week and a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family. The Russell & District Regional Library Board and Staff would like to extend our thanks to everyone who came to movie night and visited our table at the trade show.

The Library Gallery has a new exhibit on the walls. Stop in and see some of the amazing work from members of the Prairie Arts cARtel. This display features works by Al Tataryn, Delores Muir, and more! While you are there, please be sure to sign the guest book and check out what else the library has to offer.

One of the most talked about people on the planet today is President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine. In this biography/autobiography, author Luliia Mendel, Zelenskyy’s former press secretary, discusses how a man can rise from being a comedian to becoming the president of Ukraine. “Written with the sound of Russian bombs and exploding shells in the background, Mendel details life lived under Russian siege in 2022. She says goodbye to her fiancé who joins the front lines, like so many other Ukrainian men.” (https://www.simonandschuster.com)
